Northern Neck Real Estate News for July 2010 |
I'm not going to bore you with a lot of stuff this month. We all know it is the Fourth of July weekend and as in most places the Northern Neck is full of activities and celebrations. I'll tell you about how we celebrate here in the Northern Neck in a minute but first let me remind you that the 4th is not about hot dogs, hamburgers, and fireworks. It is the about declaring our independence and in doing so we became a nation like no other and have given all our citizens the God given rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. God gave us these rights and I pray that we return to Him. | |

As you probably know I grew up here in the Northern Neck and I can't imagine celebrating the fourth anywhere but here. The problem I always have is it is not enough time to go to all the places I would like. We have so many parades. Every little town has something going on. I love being able to go to these small towns and villages and see so many people that I know and haven't see in awhile. Talk about Maybery RFD. It has nothing on the Northern Neck. |
Many of these towns will have firework celebrations. Some are pretty big and if you can't decide on which one to go to then you can get in your boat and cruise to the month of the creek and you might be able to see a half dozen going on. |
This Friday is First Friday in Kilmarnock. It is always a good time. This Friday they are not only celebrating the fourth but also the crab. The band is Jumbo Lump Daddy and the Backfin Boys (where else but the Northern Neck). I've never heard them but I think they play beach music so come on out and dance in the streets. We'll have a big pitcher of lemonade at the office so stop in and say hi if you are in town. |

I send this monthly newsletter out just to remind people that I'm in the real estate business. You can always search for Northern Neck Real Estate through my website. And when you see something you like then give me a call. You will love it in the Northern Neck. I can't begin to tell you how much fun it is to be part of a community where you know so many of the people. |
